Under the supervision of the production manager, the Production Worker assists various departments in the preparation, assembly and finishing of furniture.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Sanding
  • Installing drawers
  • Installing hardware
  • Assemble small components
  • Drilling
  • Preparation for packaging
  • Furniture inspection
  • Door and drawer adjustment
  • Use of various tools: (nailing machine, screwdriver, saw, sander, edge sander, drill, trimmer, etc.)

Job Conditions

  • Full time, permanent, 41 hrs/week
  • Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm, Friday 7am-noon

The Plane and lumber saw operator performs various tasks related to prepping different types of wood.

 

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work with various wood sawing tools – trimmer, radial saw, jointer-planner, belt sander (e.g. TimeSaver), glue spreader, planer / 2-sided planer, etc.
  • Read and interpret process sheets
  • Identify different wood varieties
  • Optimize cutting processes

 

Requirements and Job Skills

  • Knowledge of wood and cabinet making tools
  • Excellent dexterity
  • Good ability to learn
  • Ability to perform measurements and respect health and safety standards

 

Job Conditions

  • Full time, permanent, 41 hrs/week
  • Monday-Thursday 7 am-5 pm, and Friday 7 am-noon
  • Overtime rate of 150% over 40 hrs
  • Salary : starting at $17/hr

 

The woodworker-cabinet maker builds prototypes from blueprints and drawings provided by the drafting team.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work hand in hand with drafting team to rectify and improve drawings when required
  • Optimise manufacturing processes by recommending efficient and cost-effective assembly methods
  • Build single-piece or limited series furniture
  • Perform related tasks.

 

Requirements

  • Cabinetmaker Trade certification or equivalent experience (5 years+)

The draftsperson prepares technical designs of premium quality furniture and architectural woodwork for commercial buildings.

  • Produce 2D and 3D models of furniture using Autocad and SolidWorks
  • Prepare drawings for production and installation
  • Research and establish hardware specifications
  • Update drawings as needed

  • Cabinetmaker Trade certification (or equivalent area of expertise/experience)
  • SolidWorks: 3 years experience (required)
  • Experience in manufacturing (asset)

Working under the supervision of th Engineering Department, the Assistant Engineering Technician supports the engineering technicians/draftspersons in the technical development of high-quality furniture and architectural woodwork made for commercial buildings.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the engineering technician towards production
  • Prepare plan layout for parts that will be sent for milling/machining
  • Prepare plan layout for parts that will be subcontracted (e.g. metal, stone, glass)

 

Requirements

  • Familiarity with SolidWorks software
  • Familiarity with Office suite
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined and self-reliant nature

Under the supervision of the Manager of Human Resources, the Human Resource assistant supports the team in the overall management of human resources (HR).

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Write policies and procedures, forms, memos and other various communications
  • Follow up on the integration of employees, answer their questions, etc.
  • Take part in the staffing program (research, recording, interviews, job induction, etc.)
  • Implement HR management policies
  • Ensure day-to-day management and update of employee files
  • Participate in the occupational health and safety (OHS) committee and keep the minutes
  • Actively engage in the improvement of OHS policies
  • Offer support in prevention-related area
  • Help manage cases of workplace-related accidents and disability
  • Ensure conformity to policies (vacation, leaves, salary, etc.)
  • Perform related tasks.

 

Requirements

  • Experience in human resources or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Advanced French and Intermediate English Skills
  • Honesty, discipline, self-reliability and initiative
